Weird Dream

i had this bizarre dream where I was a slot machine repairman at a casino on a lake in the Seirra-Nevada Mountains. The maintenance guy there was John Ritter who was trying to pay me off. Then I found that the reason that the slot machine wasn't working was because it was full of money that had gotten jammed in the pay slot. You see the machine took bills of any denomination, so i pulled out like a thousand dollars or something. I didn't need John Ritter's payoff anymore, so i told him to leave me alone or else. At that point I threatened him with a pipe wrench. Then I went over to the window and looked back at the city. One of the condo resort buildings was on fire. To put out the fire a helicopter flew down and picked up the whole burning building. It then flew to the other side of the lake that the casino was on, and dropped it by four other burned-out resort buildings

Outta sight outta mind.

A New Member of the Family

That right I purchased a new Milwaukee Sawzall. It's sweet. I cut some stuff up yesterday.

in response to Craig's Minnesnowta Post:
http://fickle216.blogspot.com/2005/01/greetings-from-minnesnowta.html

It is snowin like a mutha here as well. We have about 6-8 inches since 8:00 last night. Oddly when I went to bed the snow was falling with a westwardly travel. Whereas now it seems to be falling Eastwardly. Almost like the snowstorm passed and is now coming back for seconds.

Whew That was Awesome

well for those of you who didn't hear, I won two tickets to an invite-only Cake show tonight at Martyrs (chicago) Here is the set list as close as i can remember. I have all the right songs, but they may not be in the right order in the middle
Frank Sinatra
wheels
sheep go to heaven
Comanche
Nugget
Daria
comfort eagle
Excuse Me But I Have a Heartache (buck owens cover)
carbon monoxide
never there
The Distance

(Encore)
guitar
no phone

It was an incredibly fun but short show. Though there weren't many songs, John Mcrae had a lot of witty banter between most every songs, and they did audience sing alongs numerous times. The highlight was when he singled me out for No Phone, because I have a big beard and a cowboy hat, and compared me to men long ago, who did whatever they could to not communicate, but now we are harnesed with cell phones. To which I replied that I don't own one, because I don't. Which he then repeated to everyone. They then went into having all the men sing loudly the chorus, then have the women repeating it back. It was a great show.

here are some photos, and yes I know the dates are wrong,I should shut that feature off, because it resets whenever you take the battery out.

As you can see the captain was there also

Here are a few of Cake. The are not great, but you weren't there to do better, besides it hard to take a picture when you are rocking out.

John Mcrae collects and plays 3/4 length guitars

notice John Mcrae's tiny Marshall amp to the right of him, proof you don't Need a Marshall Stack to ROCK out.

here he is holding up his second favorite instrument. I don't know what it is, but it has a ball that hits against a cowbell looking thing and sounds like a rattle snake.

Steroid League Baseball

hey way to go MLB. You take a hard stance and ban H.G.H. (human growth hormone) but you fail to test for it. That doesn't really make it banned now does it. You bunch of glad-handers. The fans that matter are smarter than that.

We then headed out to a southwest suberb called Lamont along the I&M Canal Historical Corridor. We rented cross country skis and skied for about an 2 1/2 hours. which was all the trails that they had in that forest preserve. It was pretty fun and i think weather permiting we may do it again next weekend. Also we rented Napolean Dynamite tonight and it was hilarious. You should rent it despite Roger Eerts poor review.

Fazes

Very Odd. I was just typing and I meant to say that I go through certain phases, but I spelt it Fazes. I have never done this in my life, nor seen it spelt that way. Why would I do this.

Snow:
So yeah we live in Chicago. It snows here. Get over it. It's neither the first, nor the last time. 6-12 inches over 36 hours isn't worthy of cancelling schools. Also this will undoubtedly usher in the seasonal activity of parking spot saving. I do not condone this activity, as we do not own the space just becasue we shovel it out. That being said, I do not plan on moving my car until the problem (snow) has dissappeared. Does ths make me any better than the spot-savers. Maybe, maybe not. But at least I can sleep with myself at night.

Green Day - American Idiot

This album is incredibly awesome. I've never purchased a Green Day album before, admaybe you haven't either, but don't let that deter you, this album is worth it.

I'm A Driving Master

The other day, pre-freak out because its snowing, it was raining a bit outside as we were heading up the express way to go to REI. All of a sudden in the middle lane right in front of me a Rav-4 began to fishtail. Keeping my cool, I pressed softly on the break and let up watching his fake-truck begin its snake-like path. Soon enough it spun around hitting he vehichle in front of him and next to him. Continuing to to break and let off, I checked my mirror, saw that the lane next to me was clear. I moved to it while the Suck-U V followed to the right lane in front of me. I was coming up on him quickly as he slid towards the shoulder. I checked my mirrors again let of fthe gas and slickly moved on to the shoulder and passed him. Once passedi pulled over and ranback to the traffic halted scene to see if anyone was injured. Thankfully everyone was ok, but I realized that my precision driving had evaded quite a few other accidents. By the time it was all done, the vehicles in front of me next to me, and behind me had all been hit. I deserve the Precision Driver Of The Year Award for 2005.

Saw Eric Saez and Jordy Baker Today

Merry Y2-5

Well I guess looking back it was not necessary for me to have horded all those canned goods and jugs of water for th impending computer melt-down of Y2-5. We went out and saw the Aviator last night then took the free CTA over to the Soveriegn where we met up with Clark and Molly and we rung in the New Years. Not crazy, but all in all a good time. The Christmas trip to Minnesota was uneventful, woulda been nice if it coulda been longer. Today I plan on doing the recycling for the building then digging down in my foxhole for some Axis and Allies.
