Happy Thanksgiving

It just doesn't seem like Thanksgiving yet since I haven't received the obligatory mass email announcing National Don't Shop Day tomorrow.

What a beautiful morning

I woke up at 4:15 this morning. I currently have a cold and the stuffy nose and headache undoubtedly are to blame for this. After laying around until about 20 minutes to 5:00 I decided to get up. It is like 28 degrees F out with very little wind and snowing lots of big giant snowflakes. Seemed like the perfect time for a walk, so I bundled up. Being that it is after the bars close down and before normal people get up, there really isn't anyone around and therefore quiet and peaceful. There is a Starbucks 2 miles away and they open at 5:30 so I figured I would go there. I loaded up Explosions From The Sky's album "The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place" and began walking. The album ended just as I arrived. It was perfect.

Walk The Line

Well we went and saw "Walk the Line" last night. It was great. Sure I have my complaints, but they are just things like... "I can't believe they left out his suicide in the cave" or "I can't believe they left out him starting a forest fire" etc. This movie can be and should be enjoyed by every one. In honor of the movie here is a little heard track from his Unearthed Box Set This is my favorite song out of the 5 discs.
Johnny Cash - Pocahontas

Also, If you want the whole cash story from his words in the greatest book ever written read "Cash" by Johnny Cash. It is spectacular.

I will leave you with one picture until i return. The photo is a piece of art located in the Milwaukee Art Museum. It was donated by Bud Selig and his wife.

Fortunes

I got a fortune from a cookie the other day that seemed truer than the usually vague ones are. Some of you will get this.

"The luck that is ordained for you will be coveted by others."
