Wind Cave NP
ahh and the countdown begins...
10 days until I leave for vacation to Wind Cave (lotsa Buffalo) National Park among other places. It will be nice to finally get away from this dump.
ahh and the countdown begins...
Like things weren't crappy enough lately, Chicago flooded again friday night and flooded our whole back half of our condo. It ruined the carpet inthe hallway and we might be able to save the rest in the bedrooms. The most ironic things was that we had just spent 50 bucks the shampoo the carpets. Gotta love it.
So I wanted to be nice and take some initiative by offering to shampoo the carpets, which then turned into "lets touch up the paint, rearrange the furniture, go to IKEA, and buy more stuff to build shelves." This is not what I had in mind, or what I wanna do.
well my bro and his wife are pregnant. With the two kids on vonny's side that completely removes all pressure off of us from parents. Spectacular. Which leads me to a larger question? Why do people want to grow up. I've been an "official" adult for about four years, based on marriage and fulltime employment. I've found it to be rather overrated.
Yes, previews are finally out for the new Wes Anderson film. I am a little disappointed that Owen didn't help cowrite but at least he is costarring. You know where i will be at Christmas time. Relatives and friends can join me if they would like to see for the holidays
So Vonny had her Puppetry Pageant today in Humboldt Park. The Scientologist were there recruiting, and giving science a bad name. I went to the restroom and their were these two guys who were like "yeah its an ok neighborhood, but if you stand around too long you might get shot." I didn't catch the beginning of the conversation to know for sure if they were talking about Humboldt park or not, so I didn't say anything. But I woulda liked to told them what they could do with their science and if they aren't from the neighborhood take a hike.
So I didn't work today and spent it reading Moneyball and checking on stats of prospects for next years draft.
I stopped by Lauries Planet of Sound last night and was stuck with the dilemma. Love "Forever Changes" CD, or Stevie Wonder "Innervisions" and Prince "Purple Rain" on Vinyl. After wandering around the store for about 30 minutes and making small talk about Sloan. I opted for Love, as it has a song from the movie "Bottle Rocket"on it.
